Terms and Conditions

We support a true and fair club policy, which is why we like to publish all terms and conditions using plan and simple English.


  • Timing of Fees are based on the Swindon Schools term calendar (see the Resources pages to download the calendar), with 5 school terms (ranging from 6 – 8 weeks in duration), plus 1 additional term to cater for the summer holidays. We regret we cannot support ‘pay as you go’ payments other than for returning students (see details below).
  • All term fees must be paid in full before the first week of each term. You can pay by cheque (made payable to ‘Aquila Trampoline Club’), cash, or bank transfer (bank details will be provided in your fees letter).

Cancellation of Classes

  • 2 weeks written notice is required (email or letter), to cancel classes.
  • Payment for any remaining classes will refunded by cheque or bank transfer within 10 working days of notice.


  • To maintain our cost effective fee structure, we cannot refund holiday or short term sickness.
  • After 5 weeks of absence within a paid term (for sickness or otherwise), fees will be reduced to 50% to hold the place if required.

Returning Higher Education Students

  • Gymnasts who have been with the club for more than 3 months prior to starting higher education can return to train on a ‘pay as you go’ basis whilst still in education, during the semester/term breaks. Note we can only accommodate where we have spaces.


  • The safety and wellbeing of all gymnasts is our number one priority.
  • All our coaches are CRB checked, and are fully qualified with British Gymnastics (see the ‘Club Officials’ page for more information).
  • All our coaches operate within the guidelines and code of conduct laid down by British Gymnastics.
  • As part of effective and safe coaching, supporting and handling (physical contact) is used across all ages and abilities. Whilst every effort is made to uphold these guidelines, coaches can use appropriate discretion to ensure the safety of the gymnasts.
  • Every effort is made to ensure we have at least one qualified first-aider within a class.
  • In order to help us maintain a safe coaching environment we ask that all gymnasts, coaches and parents adbide by our codes of conduct found in the Resources Section


  • Each class has a maximum of 6 gymnasts (trampoline and DMT).
  • Every class has a fully qualified coach aligned to the governing body, British Gymnastics. 
  • Some classes are supported by assistant level coaches (level 1) and ultimate responsibility for the running and safety of the class is retained by the fully qualified coach.
  • Many classes will include a 15 minute conditioning session which forms part of the training session. 
  • Some classes will include a short set-up/set down of the equipment.


  • All gymnasts in the early classes (5:30 – 6:30) and adult classes can wear shorts and t-shirt, or leotard and shorts. Tracksuit bottoms and leggings are also acceptable. Socks must be worn at all times. Leotards are encouraged. 
  • All gymnasts in all other classes are required to wear a leotard and shorts. Tracksuit bottoms and leggings are also acceptable. Socks must be worn at all times.
  • Every 6 weeks, for one training week, all competition classes will train in competition clothing (leotard only – no shorts for girls, and leotard and whites for boys).


  • Competitions are encouraged, but are not compulsory.
  • For all Regional and National competitions, the clothing is strictly Aquila competition leotards for girls (no shorts), and Aquila leotard and whites for boys. Note: we have a limited number of competition leotards for hire. See the Resources and Shop pages for further details about purchasing and hiring competition and training clothing.

Complaints Procedure

  • In the first instance, we would encourage you to discuss any cause for complaint with the relevant class coach, and/or the welfare officer.
  • You can email us (info@aquila-tc.co.uk), or contact us through the ‘Contact Us’ pages.
  • Or you can write a letter for the attention of the Aquila committee.

Running of the Club

  • The club is run by the club commitee who meet on a regular basis. The club operating policy can be found under the Resources Sections.
  • Friends of Aquila is our fundraising team who work alongside the coaches to help raise funds for club equipment and activities. If you would like to be part of Friends of Aquila then please email info@aquila-tc.co.uk or speak to one of the coaches.
