Aquila is a competitive Trampoline Club with a growing community of some 70+ members. We formed in 2002 and offer both Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline to all ages, from 5 years to adult.

About Us

We are a competitive club and boast a wealth of coaching experience from level 1 assistant coach, to Level 5 High Performance Coach – something no other club in Swindon can offer! We encourage coaching mentoring programs and as a result, a number of our trampoline gymnasts are coaches themselves. Many of our coaches and officials are volunteers and we operate as a ‘not for profit’ organisation raising enough funds to purchase and maintain our own professional equipment with support from the school.

We provide classes for all levels of ability whether you’re completely new to trampoline gymnastics, or you compete at a National level. Members can start from age 5 and there is no upper age limit. Our recreational adult class is thriving with many competing.

Class structure

Trampoline Gymnastics (which is just tramplining!)

Aquila is a competitive club (regional and National). Whilst competition is not compulsory, it is encouraged.

Juniors
Ages 5 to 10

Beginners to intermediate with opportunities to compete at regional level.

Mon 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Wed 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Closed during all school end of term breaks

The perfect start for beginners under 10 years, or for younger bouncers with a little experience. Working towards the badge awards which includes single skill elements though to competition routines. Leotards and gym shorts are encouraged, but shorts/leggings and a tight/fitted top is fine.

And no, you don’t have to wear a leotard!

Coaches & Officials

Coaching is a skill in which qualified professionals enable others to teach themselves. It’s about installing confidence and helping individuals to realise their own potential. In many respects, coaching is both an art, and a science. Aquila is lucky to have a fantastic team of coaches and officials that really care about the individual.

How to find us

Swindon Academy, Beech Avenue, Swindon, SN2 1JR

We are fortunate to train out of the newly developed Swindon Academy. The facility includes a large purpose build gymnasium which is joined to the back of the main building. The gym has under-floor heating which is great for the cold winter months, and a very high ceiling with an over-head rig which we use for both trampoline and DMT.

When you arrive at the school there is plenty of free parking. Walk to the main entrance and into reception stating you’re with Aquila Trampoline Club. Once through the double doors, head straight through 3 sets of double doors until the corridor turns left into the main gym.
